Is Exercise Making Your Back Problem Worse?

Monday, October 1st, 2012

I was recently surfing around the internet and found something very interesting. I typed in “back pain cure” and got thousands of matches. Which I found interesting… because…
If there actually were so many “cures”, there wouldn’t be anyone left with any pain!

But we all know most of these “cures” are coming from opportunity seekers just trying to separate you from your money. The first thing that’s a dead give-away is when someone offers a cure for ALL back pain.Just like there is no ONE magical diet that works for everyone…there is no ONE solution for ALL cases of back pain.

Back pain can be complex, have more than one cause and, therefore, need more than one solution/treatment. For example – I came across one web site that claimed he had the ultimate cure for back pain. This guy had supposedly cured his own back pain with a “special” set of exercises. Exercises, he claimed, would cure everyone’s back pain. Exercises he would give you – for a hefty price!

I did a little Google search and found this guy had also suffered with carpal tunnel syndrome…and had found the cure…which he sold. He also suffered with headaches…that he cured…and sold the cure. Then there was his shoulder pain cure…I think you get the point.

Just for kicks, I ordered this guy’s “special” exercises. What a joke. They were nothing more than a mix of 6th grade gym class exercises with a few wrestling stretches. Attempting to do some of these “special” exercises, if you have a herniated or bulging disc, could leave you crippled on the floor.

And that’s the problem with most people pushing exercises as a cure for back pain…They think all back pain is caused by weak or inflexible muscles.

Which may be PART of the problem… but… if you have a herniated or bulging disc… that is NOT where you should start.

Look at it like this: If the front end of your car goes out of alignment – what happens to your tires? They wear unevenly, right? So what do you do? Do you drive your car a special way to try to fix the alignment? Do you work on the parts of your car supporting the alignment? Or do you get the alignment fixed?

The same is true with your back pain. When you have a herniated and/or bulging disc, your spine is injured and does not work properly. The more you use it, the more abnormal stress is put on your spine and discs, and the more damage you will cause. Exercise will NOT fix a herniated disc! But, if you are treated on the spinal decompression system and the herniation is healed PROPERLY… then… and only then… does it make sense to exercise to strengthen and stretch the area.

And here, one last thing to think about: If exercise cured backs… why do so many world class and professional athletes suffer with back pain? Just something to think about. I guess these elite athletes don’t know the “special” exercises I bought on the internet!

How Much Is Your Back Worth?

Monday, August 20th, 2012

Time IS money… if you spend your time wisely.

Sadly, the vast majority of people are really good at wasting their time when it comes to treating their back pain.

That’s the main reason why they are struggling.

There are 2 types of non-invasive treatment for back pain and disc injuries

1) Spinal decompression therapy and 2) chiropractic care

Anything else that you may consider as treatment such as…

Exercise

Muscle creams

Electronic back devices

Pills and lotions

And more…

Are NOT treatment. While they may help you control your pain…will NOT correct your problem.

For those of you that have chosen to fix your back condition than you have chosen to spend your time wisely. Here are some additional tips for you to make the most from your treatment and keep your spine strong and healthy:

Sleeping
Sleeping on a soft bed or couch can strain neck and back muscles since the three curves of the spine are not adequately supported. Sleeping on your stomach is not recommended since it can cause additional strain on the neck and back. Make sure you have a firm mattress that keeps the spine aligned and supports the spinal curvatures. The best sleeping positions are on your back or side. A pillow can be placed under the knees when lying on your back to take pressure off of the lower back.

Standing and Walking
Standing or bending forward for long periods can cause increased spinal pressure— especially if you slouch. Bending over with straight legs increases the pressure in the lower back. High-heeled shoes may result in a “swayback,” which throws the natural curves out of alignment when standing or walking. When standing for extended periods, rest one foot on a small stool to maintain spinal curvature and relieve pressure. The knees should be bent when bending forward. Low-heeled shoes may help by maintaining spinal curvatures and cushioning your weight.

Sitting
Sitting in chairs that do not support your back may throw the natural spinal curvatures out of alignment and add extra stress to the neck and back. Slouching while sitting increases the strain even more. Sitting too far away from the steering wheel while driving also may increase stress to the neck and back. Use chairs that promote good posture and support your back. Rolling up a towel or placing a lumbar or low back support cushion in the lower portion of your back may help to support your lumbar curve. Reposition the seat of your car so that your knees are level with your hips.

Bending and Lifting
Bending forward with the legs straight causes a loss of the three natural spinal curves and puts undue stress on the lower portion of your back. Lifting and bending forward at the same time puts great strain on the muscles and increases the pressure inside the discs (the spongy materials between the bones of your spine) even more. When bending forward, keep your back straight while bending at the knees and hips. This will help to keep the three spinal curvatures in proper alignment. When lifting, keep your spine straight while using your legs to do the brunt of the work. Hold the objects being lifted close to your body to keep the weight on your spine to a minimum.

Turning
Keeping the feet, knees and hips stationary while turning the lower back increases the chances of a twisting injury to the spine or an injury to the discs. The shape of the vertebrae do not allow the joints of the spine to twist easily. Imagine your body as being one continuous unit from your shoulders to your hips. When turning, use your feet to make the turns, not your back. Concentrate on moving your feet first in the direction you wish to turn, while maintaining the natural curves in your spine.

Reaching
Do not stretch your arms or back for something beyond your normal reach. This type of movement decreases the natural curves of the spine, resulting in additional stress or strain. Move your body close to the item you are reaching for. A ladder or stool may be used to reach items above your head. A tool called a “reacher” can be used to grab hard-to-reach items. Always ask someone for help if the item is heavy or you don’t feel you can reach it yourself.

“Why Happy People Have Less Pain”

Thursday, July 26th, 2012

I talk to A LOT of patients and do so daily and have been doing so for over 12 years.

What I’ve seen is that those who are happy do a lot better when it comes to getting rid of pain and recovering from injuries.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “that’s a load of baloney…I’m happy but I still have pain.” Well, that may be the case, but I’m just talking in general here. The mistake that many patients make is believing that others are happy BECAUSE they are free from pain.

But the truth is, they were probably already happy before they had pain and probably even during.
Happy people see the world differently.

Happy people think differently.

Happy people are more optimistic, confident and are in large, more likable.

…and that’s why they feel better also.

So, how do you become happier?

Do things that make you happy.

Be around people who make you feel good.

…and most importantly, choose to be happy.

It’s a choice.

Need help?

Try this…

If you were happy, what would you think about?

What would you do?

How would you carry yourself?

How would you see others and the world?

Good.

Do that!

It really is that simple. Let me take care of the getting rid of your back pain part, you attempt to do the being happy part.

Dr. Pritsker’s Top Ten Ways To Keep Your Back Pain Free

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012

Keeping your spine pain free is easier than you think. Here’s my top ten tips that I share with patients to keep them free from back pain:

1. Never bend and lift at the waist when lifting heavy objects. Always bend at the knees, then lift. Remember this: “Lift like an elevator, not like a crane.”

2. Stretch every morning for “5 minutes when you’re out of bed. You may prefer taking a hot shower first but the long-term health of your spine is based on the daily little things and stretching is a “HUGE” little thing.

3. Never sleep on your stomach. If you sleep on your side, put a pillow between your knees.

4. Always wear shoes with backs/heel straps on them. Flip-flop sandals are the worst and should be avoided. Supporting your feet supports your spine.

5. Sitting for two hours straight without stretching is your maximum. Sitting through a long movie is probably okay but stand up and walk around afterwards and arch your back, lean side-to-side, and take your low back through different ranges of motion before you sit down again or drive home.

6. Water intake should be about 8 glasses of water per day. If you drink alcohol, soda, coffee, or are eating salty food, you must drink an additional 12-24 ounces of water that day.

7. If you know you are going to be doing a heavy-duty activity such as moving furniture or even be on your feet for hours at a time then wear a back support belt.

8. Proper nutrition remains important to maintain the health of your discs. I recommend the supplement Glucosamine Sulphate.

9. Exercise is great. Walking 1/2 hour each day with light weights is the best. Leave the weights at home if you prefer but get in some walking every single day! Other great options are yoga, Pilates and step aerobics. But for those of you with type-A personality’s exercise caution with these- DO NOT GO TOO HARD TOO FAST! Also, be sure to walk or run on even surfaces.

10. If you have any questions, be sure to ask! I’m here to help you so if you have a question don’t hesitate to ask. Can This Vitamin Cut Your Risk Of The Flu By 42%? The best part is – you do not even have to take this vitamin to get the benefits! Find out how.

Monday, June 18th, 2012

There is no doubt about it that getting the common cold is no fun. And coming down with the flu can be a real nightmare! No one wants to miss work or school and have to deal with a fever, chills, headaches, body aches and just plain misery for a week or so (or even longer if you do not take care of yourself).

Here’s something very important most people do not understand: It is must easier to prevent the flu (or any sickness or disease) than it is to treat it. You’ve heard the quote: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” But, for most people, it’s nothing more than lip service. It’s just human nature. When you are sick and you feel terrible, you say you are never going to let “this” happen again. You are going to eat right, exercise, etc. But, as soon as you feel like you’re back to your old self, you start acting like your “old self.” Don’t feel bad… just about everyone does it that way… except for the people who almost never get
sick.

Let’s face it, ALWAYS eating right; getting proper rest, reducing stress and so on in today’s society is nearly impossible. That’s why you should always make the effort to do your best and to find small, but powerful, things that can help you in a big way.

For a while, some medical experts have ranted and raved about Vitamin D and its positive effects on health, and more and more research is being published that makes it look like they’re right. For example, Dr. Joseph Mercola writes, “According to the findings from a 2010 study that didn’t get any widespread attention, vitamin D is a highly effective way to avoid influenza. “In fact, children taking low doses of Vitamin D3 were shown to be 42 percent less likely to come down with the flu. “The randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study included 430 children aged 6-15, who were followed between December 2008 and March 2009. “Half were given 1,200 IU’s of vitamin D3 daily, while the other half received a placebo. “Influenza strains were determined through lab testing of nose and throat swabs. “Eighteen of the children taking vitamin D contracted influenza Type A, compared to 31 children in the placebo group.
“Type B influenza rates were unaffected by vitamin D use, however, the illness resulting from
Type B influenza strains is typically milder than Type A. “Considering the fact that influenza was reduced by 42 percent at a dose of just 1,200 IU’s a day, it’s possible that even better results might be obtained with higher dosages—depending on just how deficient you are to begin with, of course, because it’s not really the dosage that matters; it’s the amount of vitamin D in your blood.”

One huge thing to understand here is that the study isn’t just referring to “Vitamin D,” it’s referring to Vitamin D (3). So, if you are going to take a Vitamin D supplement, it should be for
Vitamin D (3)… and it is always recommended you consult with a qualified physician who is an expert on nutrition and up on current research. A lot has recently changed about what researches and scientist know about nutrition, not to mention what was taught in school 10 or 20 years ago!

But, here’s something else that is important and often very misunderstood: The best possible source of Vitamin D does not come in the form of a dietary supplement. The best source is the SUN.

Wait, isn’t sun exposure bad? Doesn’t it cause skin cancer? The first thing to understand is that “sun exposure” is not bad. Too much sun exposure is bad. Water is not bad for you but drinking too much water can kill you. Simply because drinking too much is bad for you does not mean you should not drink any. The same is true for the sun. Everyone is different but everyone needs the proper amount of sun to maximize their health potential. You should get regular amounts of sunlight but NEVER enough to burn you. Since skin types vary, as does the sun’s strength in different geographic locations, there is no “formula” to follow. Once again, seeking advice from a physician well educated on this subject is a must. Getting no sun is not good, but you don’t want to get too much, either.

San Diego Chiropractic Care Proved to Show Great Results for Back Pain

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

Many people have commonly experienced pain in their lower back region at some point in life. It is not surprising that it’s the 5th most common reason people visit doctors in the U.S. Low back pain condition can be treated by Dr. Michael Pritsker in San Diego at New Century Spine Centers.

Low back pain is pain in the lower back region of the spinal column- the last 5 segments of the spine and the intervertebral disks associated with it (to be more precise). Causes of lower back pain vary and can be slightly a ‘pain’ in itself to detect. This ranges from lifting and holding heavy objects to the simple and unexpected ‘carrying a wallet in the back pocket’. Yes, carrying a wallet can cause chronic lower back ache too.

Now, coming to our more characteristic topic of chiropractic doctors, these are a specialized group of medical practitioners who believe in the theory that the human body exhibits variations of pains are caused due to problems emerged from the nervous system and the misalignment of the human vertebral column.

Chiropractors usually adjust the spine or other discrete parts of the body to accurately align the vertebral column and maintain the body’s natural capability to restore itself. Chiropractic treatment not only distinctly treats the pain, but also, is associated with strength and the dynamics that enhances common function and improves the art of living. When you are seeking chiropractic help, it is crucial to reveal and discuss any physical problems or disabilities you have aside from low back pain.

A form of therapy called, spinal adjustment, is the application of controlled force to a joint, shifting it beyond the normal range of motion. This treatment is principally based on the subluxation theory, which says that the several forms of pain arising in the body are principally caused by faulty alignment of the spinal column. It is used by chiropractors to minimize pain, amplify mobility, and revive biomechanical and anatomical relations between spinal segments to advance rapid betterment.

Chiropractic care takes about 3-6 weeks to treat patients with nonspecific and uncomplicated low back pain and up to 10 weeks for those with more severe cases. Treatment for spinal adjustment can prevent the onset of a chronic disorder associated with immobility which results in successful recovery especially if combined with exercise and good body mechanics.

Was Chiropractic Care The Miracle That Saved This Little Girl??

Thursday, May 10th, 2012

The day Pam Flynn hurt her knee may have been the best day of Helen Bibb’s life, say the neighbors on Hortense Street in the area of North Hollywood. That mishap launched a journey for Bibb’s daughter Laura, a 10-year old developmentally delayed girl, who went from being the neighborhood pity to the neighborhood super Rocky. This happened all because Pam Flynn hurt her knee and went to see a local chiropractor in town. This started a chain of events.

It’s one of those quiet, tree-lined residential blocks where people move in and stay for en entire lifetime. It’s where neighbors know more about each other than their names and what kind of cars they drive. They know their personal lives, both the good and the bad. Pam Flynn and neighbor Tracy Johnson and Elaine Alexander have shared many cups of morning coffee with Helen Bibb. And over the years, they’ve heard how Helen’s daughter, Laura, was diagnosed as a baby as being mildly mentally retarded. And that when it came true for her to start school, her skills and test scores placed her at the severely retarded level in her class.

They’ve learned that Helen and her husband Ron, never stopped fighting for their daughter. They knew that Helen spent half her lifetime on the Internet and on media looking for the answer to why Laura’s body was also betraying her. She wanted to know why she kept falling down, or would start to binge-eat and refuse to talk to even her family for long stretches of time.

The Internet and the media didn’t give Helen the answers that she was looking for, and neither did her doctors, who vowed that everything medical science had to offer, inside the confines of an HMO plan was being done to help her daughter. “I was on the diagnosis merry-go-round, going nowhere,” Helen says. “There were plenty of explanations and excuses, but no answers.”

The latest setback came when Laura began to suffer from swollen knees that were diagnosed as severe growing pains. “She had foot orthotics put in her shoes, but her knees were still swollen and getting worse.” Helen said “Her right leg and foot were starting to turn in. The orthopedic doctors suggested knee braces and painkillers.” This was not the answer.

From behind their window on her street the neighbors watched the slow deterioration of this little girl they had known since birth. She was now barely able to walk down the street without falling down on the sidewalk.

“We had all watched her grow up, and to see her in pain, falling down like this, well, it was heartbreaking,” said the neighbor. There was nothing they could do but give the Bibb family moral support. They weren’t doctors and didn’t know what to do.

Then one day, Pam Flynn wrenched her knee and went to see a chiropractor. While she was being treated, she mentioned her 10-year-old neighbor who was falling down all the time, and would soon need braces and a steady diet of painkillers just to get around. “The idea of this wonderful girl who had already been through so much, now needing braces to walk really threw me,” Pam said.

When she got home later that day, Pam knocked on her next-door neighbor’s door and told Helen about her chiropractor, and that he also treated kids. “Go see him,” Pam said. “What could it hurt?”

“I was looking for anything that would interfere with Laura’s nervous system, and I found a vertebra at the base of her skull was way out of place and putting pressure on her nerves,” the chiropractor said. “So I adjusted it.” So simple, Helen said. An adjustment. Not braces and painkillers.

“The first thing Laura did was let out a big sigh of relief,” Helen said. “That night she came down the stairs by herself. We were stunned at what was happening. This used to take forever with Laura holding on to both rails, her dad in front so she wouldn’t fall, and me guiding from behind.”

“Laura now wants to move and run and be a real kid for the first time. All the doctors said that her foot would stay turned in and there was nothing they could do. Well, her foot has straightened out too.” And during the summer, her daughter did something Helen, in her most optimistic dreams, never would have thought possible. With her mom and dad, younger sister Julie, and older brother Edward cheering her on and bursting with pride, Laura swam with the dolphins at Sea World.

“She’s an entirely different little girl, mentally as well as physically,” says neighbor Elaine. “She used to be shy and hide behind her mother. Now, she’s in the open talking. When we’d walk the dogs, Laura couldn’t keep up. Now, she’s out front. It’s been a remarkable transformation.”

Miracle or simply an adjustment, Ron and Helen Bibb are feeling like the luckiest people in the world, seeing their daughter smiling and happier than ever. “Look at her – she’s so proud of herself,” Helen said recently, watching Laura help Pam and Harry Flynn walk their dogs down Hortense Street.

The little girl who used to be the neighborhood pity is now the neighborhood Rocky, leading the pack. Stories like this and more happen every day at the chiropractic office of New Century Spine Centers in San Diego.

Chiropractor Cracks The Back Pain Code With New Spinal Decompression Technology

Monday, April 30th, 2012

Countless doctors, chiropractors, and patients wonder what it really takes to get rid of back and neck pain. Is it really all about having the special technique, utilizing the right equipment, or is it just a matter of good old fashioned “luck”? Sometimes it’s a combination of all of these. As you walk into the door of New Century Spine Centers in San Diego, you really just get a feeling that this is the place that exceeds expectations when it comes to getting rid of sciatica and back pain. It’s a story that is written all over the faces of happy patients coming out of the treatment rooms. But what is it that makes this office so different compared to countless other chiropractic offices in San Diego? As one patient states, “I don’t want to give away what makes Dr. Pritsker such a popular choice as a doctor, you really just have to experience it for yourself.”

When asked what makes his treatment so successful, Dr. Pritsker simply answers, “I always think about what it is that people want and need and I give it to them. I just do what works, not what just sounds good” And that he does. With thousands of back-pain victims taking pain medication for many years and some resorting to surgery, Dr. Pritsker was the first chiropractor in San Diego to revolutionize back pain treatment by introducing a new state-of-the-art painless therapy that has shown success in even those individuals with the worst kind of back pain, such as disc bulges, arthritis, disc degeneration, disc herniations, and more. With Dr. Mike Pritsker’s introduction of spinal decompression therapy to San Diego residents, it’s everything one might hope to experience when wanting to finally get rid of torturous back pain and restore a pain-free, active lifestyle.

When the spinal decompression technology was first introduced by Dr. Michael Pritsker in San Diego, the word spread like wildfire and soon there was a waiting list to receive this treatment. At about that time, Channel 10 News picked up the story and it was aired during the evening news hour. During this news special, news anchor Carole LeBeau had an opportunity to try the spinal decompression machine for herself and admitted “it feels nice…like the way your back should feel.” Since then, this treatment for back and neck pain has successfully treated thousands of patients.

Dr. Michael Pritsker continues to provide new and advanced treatment technology to San Diego residents and beyond for the relief of pain associated with arthritis, spinal degeneration, sciatica, headaches, neck pain, disc bulges, back pain and more. He tries to make the treatment affordable to everyone and also accepts most insurance plans such as Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Kaiser, Optimum Health, and more. They offer various treatment options ranging from short term relief care to long term corrective care. The chiropractors of New Century Spine always put their patients first when it comes to healthcare.

In the past twelve years, Dr. Pritsker has treated thousands of patients suffering from back and neck pain and continues to stay ahead of other doctors by offering patients the most advanced non-invasive technology in the treatment of some of the worst cases of neck pain, leg pain, spinal stenosis, and back pain. More information can also be obtained by calling the toll free 24 hour recorded information hotline at 1-888-867-4951. With advances in back pain therapy, many people don’t have to live with pain any more.

Survey Says Chiropractic Outperforms Other Back Pain Treatment Options

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

Visit www.backcaretreatment.comIf you have back pain you are probably old enough to remember Richard Dawson first yelling the “Survey Says” phrase on the popular 70s and 80s game show, The Family Feud. If not then it doesn’t matter. You just learned something interesting about American pop culture and game show history. So what does the survey really say? According to an August 9, 2011 article on chiroeco.com, “In a new survey, chiropractic outperformed all other back pain treatments including prescription and over-the-counter medications, deep-tissue massage, yoga, and Pilates.

According to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), this news reinforces the use of conservative care options such as chiropractic care in San Diego as a first line of defense against pain. The survey, released by a leading consumer product rating and survey publisher in late July, found that 65 percent of those surveyed using chiropractic care for back pain said it helped a lot. Only 53 percent of respondents using prescription medications found them as helpful. “Additionally, about half of those surveyed who are using yoga or Pilates said those treatments helped a lot and only 28 percent of respondents using over-the-counter medications reported that they helped a lot.

“Current evidence-based guidelines support the use of conservative care such as chiropractic for conditions such as chronic lower back pain.” One serious eye-opener was that only 28% of respondents said over-the-counter medications helped a lot. It has been known for quite some time that common over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAID) have serious side effects. One of these side effects is that an estimated 16,500 people die every year. Natural, conservative options like Chiropractic, deep tissue massage, yoga, and Pilates are most likely better and safer choices when it comes to relieving back pain.

Neck pain is also very common and it can make your life miserable. If you suffer from headaches there is a very good chance you suffer from a common type of headache called “cervicogenic headache.” This type of headache is caused by a problem in your neck. One way to tell you might suffer from cervicogenic headaches is to identify if any neck motions cause the headaches or increase their severity.

Also, take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Does your head tilt to one side? Is your head posture bad? In other words, does your head stick out in front of you instead of sitting back over your torso? You’ll probably need a trained eye (like your Chiropractor’s) to see that one. Chiropractors like the chiropractors at New Century Spine Centers in San Diego are trained to spot problems in the spine.

According to an “evidence report” published by Duke University researchers, “Cervical spinal manipulation was associated with improvement in headaches in two trials involving patients with neck pain and/or neck dysfunction and headache. Manipulation appeared to result in immediate improvement in headache severity when used to treat episodes of cervicogenic (from the neck) headaches when compared with an attention-placebo control. Furthermore, when compared to soft-tissue therapies, a course of manipulation treatments resulted in sustained improvement in headache frequency and severity. However, among patients without a neck pain/dysfunction component to their headache syndrome – that is, patients with episodic or chronic tension-type headaches – the effectiveness of cervical spinal manipulation was less clear.”

Testosterone Reduction And Computer Laptop Use Showing Some Links

Friday, April 13th, 2012

Many patients in the city of San Diego come to New Century Spine Centers to see a chiropractor for their back pain from sitting at the computer for too long. But here’s another problem from sitting at the computer for too long that may not be related to your back. A November 8, 2010 article published by Reuter’s reports placing a laptop computer on your lap might be, “cooking your gonads.” According to the article, “It turns out, unsurprisingly, that sitting with a computer on your lap will crank up the temperature of your nether regions, which could affect sperm quality.”

Authors of a study in the journal of Fertility and Sterility, say the only way you can prevent this is by putting your laptop on a desk or somewhere besides your lap. Even using a lap pad, the temperature quickly rises above the acceptable range.

“Millions and millions of men are using laptops now, especially those in the reproductive age range,” said Dr. Yefim Sheynkin, a Urologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, who led the new study. “Within 10 or 15 minutes, their scrotal temperature is already above what we consider safe, but they don’t feel it,” he added.

On another interesting note, you won’t want to miss this one. There seems to be a television commercial about it every two minutes. It’s either Viagra or Cialis for “performance” issues, or the new buzz-word, “Low T” for low testosterone. Well, here’s something very important you should know about testosterone and sexual problems…

According to an October 29, 2010 Reuters Health article, authors of a new study say, “we need a lot less testosterone for sexual function than people think.” Dr. Frederick Wu, a hormone expert at the University of Manchester, is quoted as saying, “Most people with erectile problems do not have hormone problems, but often have blockage in their penis arteries.” They also state that very low levels of testosterone can cause a problem, but they are not sure what this level is.
